At the Marathon unveiling, I arrived early with the art and people reacted like I never
expected. They wanted to touch it. In a digital world where texture has been lost, people were compelled to reach out and touch it. Several catering staff were preparing tables for guests and they all left their responsibilities to view it, including the manager. One viewer said, “It looks like it was created 75 years ago and you discovered it in an old barn.ˮ That was the greatest compliment I could have received.
