Thoughts regarding mission and liturgical art:
I have always felt closer to God when I create art than any other time. Some years ago I read a poem by Ann Kiemel. She wrote, “The artist is God’s way of being creative.” I believe that. That’s why I have always been fascinated by the creative mystic and find it very rewarding and spiritual. Art is very powerful. It can help people focus their emotions and minds. I find art with a mission of making a difference as its foundation and liturgical art much more rewarding than secular art as a valuable service to God.
